Andrea goes above and beyond her duties to support the students and families at McPhee. When she learns about a need, she reaches out with kindness and compassion to let families know what supports and services are available. She helps people make community connections and she manages the many mental health supports that are available to students through our school by taking referrals, connecting families with practitioners, and providing on-going communication between the service providers and the school staff. Her approach to people makes everyone feel valued, significant, and supported. She works with teachers on a daily basis to support the needs of students while they are at school by meeting with scholars, following up about their concerns and needs, and educating staff about crisis, trauma, and best practices in supporting student needs. She is an invaluable resource and works tirelessly at our school. She serves more than one school, serves as a team leader, and is on the crisis team. She is an irreplaceable part of the McPhee team.
