“Master Teacher!” – flexible, positive, professional, organized, kid-centered, TEAM oriented! These are the words I use when describing Buffy Beerenstrauch, a Master Teacher and someone who we’re lucky to have teaching for us at Holmes Elementary School. Buffy has the highest of expectations for her students. Academically, they achieve. Behaviorally, they work hard, are engaged and know what expectations are. I appreciate Ms. Beerenstrauch’s positive demeaner and creativity as she is one who can be counted on to bring others up when the stress of the world can get you down. Buffy is ready and willing to jump in and do what needs to be done for the good of the TEAM and will often offer to do so without being asked. Teachers like Ms. Beerenstrauch are uncommon. Teaching during a pandemic is difficult work, yet Buffy has done so masterfully! She is supportive of her teammates, her students and the school. Ms. Beerenstrauch is one of the best teachers I’ve had the pleasure to work with and I count my lucky stars that she works at Holmes!
