2024 Recipients

Zuzu Rush

Rousseau Elementary
5th Grade
Nominated By: Principal Monica Jochum

Zuzu is such a well-rounded kiddo that is a great role model in 5th grade. We have never heard her say an unkind word to others. She has great character and empathy, always doing the right thing and stands up for others, sharing concerns when they arise. She is willing to partner and work with anyone, showing patience much beyond her years. We love to see her sense of humor and silly side as well. She made a fun video for our Rousseau fundraiser that was wizard themed. She stays involved in activities, such as soccer, strings, and choir. She is very creative and a talented writer!

Not only is Zuzu an amazing Rousseau Ram, she has also done all of this with family challenges at home.  When she was only a year old, her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her mother is a cancer survivor and will continue to get treatments for the rest of her life.  Through her family's journey, Zuzu has learned to have sympathy and compassion for others.  It is evident that the entire Rash family is an example of how to embrace life and show caring for others.

We are honored to award Zuzu Rash as our 2024 Rousseau Inspire Award Recipient.
