Paula is a dedicated teacher, encourages a love for learning and reading in her students. She is calm and has firm expectations for her students and knows they can meet those, no matter where they are in life.

Paula leads our building's Tier 1 meetings and initiatives cheerfully, inclusively, inviting participation from staff and students in Pound's Monthly Mission Moment videos (Tier 1 Academic and Behavioral Booster Lessons). She has showcased that she's a continual and forever learner, soliciting and listening to students and their feedback, as well as learning and leveraging technology to create neat, easy-to-use, and engaging videos to deliver consistent expectations to all students school wide.

Without being asked, Paula has put in countless hours to the betterment of Pound including, but certainly not limited to: volunteering as a tour guide at 5th to 6th grade nights, updating and replacing expectation posters throughout the building, as well as personally copying, pasting and sending hundreds of messages written by Pound parents as e-cards of encouragement to their student's email.

Additionally, Paula's colleagues consider her exemplary in her accountability and dependability as a teacher and co-worker. She regularly covers classes, supports in points of transition throughout the school day monitoring school wide procedures and helping by creating/sharing resources and leading staff development.

Paula is an inspiration to all at Pound Middle School!
