Molly Andersen

Everett Elementary
4th Grade Teacher
Nominated By: Principal Michael Long

Mrs. Andersen is extremely committed to our school and goals. She has always gone above and beyond her job requirements and is constantly looking for ways to grow as an educator. She currently serves as a 4th grade teacher at Everett and is our CSIP liaison.

The one thing that really stands out about Mrs. Andersen as a teacher is her enjoyment of the profession, which is clearly seen in the eyes of her students. High-quality instruction is always occurring in her classroom. Mrs. Andersen's organizational skills and caring manner set her apart from the average teacher. Her expectations are high and students are supported by the use of excellent teaching strategies and very consistent classroom management skills. She is always patient and works with every student in a calm and understanding manner. She truly wants every student to learn, and they do.

A variety of materials and resources to make subject matter meaningful to Mrs. Andersen's students are always evident. She is able to relate ideas across the curriculum. Lessons are modified to the academic and behavioral levels of each student. This includes incorporating a high specific positive feedback to redirect ratio with many random opportunities for students to respond.

Mrs. Andersen is truly committed to making our school a better place. It is a joy to see such passion and dedication to the teaching profession. I wholeheartedly recommend her for the Inspire Award.
