2022 Inspire Award Winners

2022

Emma Brown

Lefler Middle School
8th Grade
Nominated By: Principal Jess Fries

Emma is an exceptional student and young adult. She is a leader both in our community and in the classroom. She was significantly involved in the 2021 and 2022 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Rally Planning Committee. Emma represented Lefler at this year's rally and recited Amanda Gorman’s In This Place.

As a student, she consistently produces high quality work and is always willing to help peers. This year, Emma volunteered to be a peer helper in our Unified PE class. She assists students in the life skills program as they work to improve their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional health. She is incredibly kind and patient with her classmates as she breaks down skill-oriented tasks so they understand and participate to their fullest abilities. She has commented that they have helped her grow just as much as she has helped them! Emma embodies and exhibits the Lefler expectations of being respectful, taking ownership, being accepting, and being responsible. We are proud to have her as a Lefler Lion.
