2021 Inspire Award Winners

MacKenzie Sheaff

Randolph Elementary
Kindergarten Teacher and SIP Co-Chair
Nominated By: Principal Monica Jochum

Not only is MacKenzie an exemplary teacher, she is a leader in the classroom and throughout the building. MacKenzie always makes sure all of her students have the best educational experience and are engaged throughout their day. She shares her knowledge and love of teaching with her team. Thus, making our kindergarten team even stronger. MacKenzie also serves as our SIP co-chair. MacKenzie helps to plan instructional conversations with our SIP team that make a difference for all students at Randolph. When I ask MacKenzie to help pull data, come in for a last-minute meeting or just run something by her, she is always eager to help to do whatever is needed for Randolph. I often get the response, "Not a problem Jochum!" This year has been difficult for all teachers. However, MacKenzie had to endure a devastating experience no teacher should have to go through. This December one of her kindergarten students tragically died. She was able to show sadness while helping the rest of her five- and six-year-old students grieve the loss of their friend. Even though she is a teacher at Randolph, all of LPS should be proud to call her one of our own. It is with great honor and gratitude that I nominate MacKenzie Sheaff as Randolph's Inspire Award winner for the 2020-2021 school year.
