It is my pleasure to nominate Cindy Leitt as the Kahoa Staff Inspire Award recipient. Cindy has been a loyal, dependable and inspiring staff member since 1994! Cindy leads through her service to others; she is the backbone and face of our Kahoa Community. She began her career at Kahoa as a paraeducator and now is the school registrar. When you talk to Cindy, you’ll immediately feel cared about. Cindy always focuses on the needs of others, and then goes out of her way to meet those needs. Anyone who calls the school office immediately knows the person on the other end is listening and focusing on their call. We often hear from families about how welcoming and caring our office staff make them feel. There are families who trust Cindy more than anyone else within our school walls and that is because they feel the care and kindness that comes from Cindy. She can tell you all about our families and students because she listens, she asks questions and genuinely wants to know about you. Cindy never wants the spotlight to be on herself. I know with this nomination she will tell you all the other people who are deserving, but Kahoa wants Cindy to know the difference she makes. Kahoa would not be the same without her.
