Pam is a leader in the design of math instruction for her 6th grade math PLC. In the last two years, Pam has demonstrated an ability to pivot and in many ways, has led her team in the journey. Along with implementing a new math curriculum and moving to a math intervention position, Pam also agreed to teach a section of 8th grade math when we were unable to hire an 8th grade math teacher. She is always at the ready to help out with testing by providing small group accommodations and cultivating student efficacy. Pam's classroom is characterized by high expectations and strong routines and procedures. Pam has the ability to grow math skills alongside social skills. Her homeroom was also the winner of a quarter long competition involving community building and academic skill building. Mr. Calafiore, our assistant principal, has two grown sons, BOTH of whom remark that their favorite teacher while attending Lefler was, hands down, Mrs. Steckelberg!
