Jeni Fisher

Kahoa Elementary
3rd Grade Teacher
Nominated By: Principal Mandy Nickolite-Greene

It is an honor to nominate Mrs. Fisher for Kahoa's Inspire Award. Mrs. Fisher has gone above and beyond in her role as a teacher. She brings out the best in her students, not just in teaching them the skills needed to be a lifelong learner, but also skills of strong character.

Mrs. Fisher is loved by students, families and colleagues. Students love her because she is kind, loving, fun, and cares about them. Mrs. Fisher gets to know each student in her class as a whole person. She is able to see exactly what each child brings to the community, and her teaching approach involves finding and using children's unique strengths to help them overcome their struggles and develop a positive self concept.

At the same time, Mrs. Fisher has high academic expectations for her students and believes all students are capable. Her approach is always one of love, patience, and joy. Mrs. Fisher is a teacher who wants what is best for her students whether it be academically, socially or emotionally. She is that caring teacher that we all want our children to have.

Finally, Mrs. Fisher is a superior leader among our colleagues. She is always available to help with lessons and share ideas about what does and doesn't work. She is also supportive and full of gentle advice that never fails to help. Mrs. Fisher has that "it" factor as an educator. She is someone we all feel lucky to have as a colleague.

The many examples mentioned show how passionate Mrs. Fisher is for students and also displays great leadership for her colleagues. Mrs. Fisher's positive attitude and willingness to support the Kahoa community has a significant impact on the positive climate and culture at Kahoa. Thank you Mrs. Fisher for inspiring not only the Kahoa students but also the adults to always be thinking about how we can be a better version of ourselves.
