Doreen is in her 43rd year of teaching at Mickle. Such long tenures in education are becoming increasingly rare. Doreen's is even more so, as all 43 years have been served at Mickle. Doreen, one could say, is Mickle. Doreen maintains a growth mindset and continues to learn as an educator to continue to serve Mickle students to the best of her ability. She truly embodies the spirit of this award.
