Student Emergencies
Extraordinary circumstances like natural disasters, an unhealthy living situation, or a death in the family can be hard to process while also managing the daily responsibilities of being an LPS student.
Funding helps ensure that the most basic and immediate needs of students are met so they can better focus on learning. Last school year, the Student Emergency Fund supported over 3,600 students and family members with nearly $200,000 in rent, utilities, groceries, gas, and other essentials.
The amount distributed nearly doubled from the previous school year, reflecting the increasing number of families experiencing financial hardship and unexpected crises. That need is continuing to rise.
