Resources for LPS Families

Family Resources

At the Foundation, we work to ensure that students never have to settle because they don’t have the funds or access they need to grow. From providing emergency support to expanding your knowledge of education in Lincoln, we offer a spectrum of resources for families.

  • We raise funds to support strong families. For any available community resources, families can contact the social worker at their child's school.

  • The Foundation for LPS can cover the cost of driver’s education classes to ensure that students who want to learn how to drive can do so.

  • Each school has a Fund for Excellence that can be used at the discretion of the principal. To request funds, please contact your school.

  • The Foundations funds unique experiences that are focused on their interests to help hone students’ technical skills. These partnerships with Southeast Community College, The Bay, UNL, Bryan Health, and more give students a head start on their career through dual credit, and challenge them to think bigger.

  • The Stuart Elliott Student Assistance Fund was established in 2021 in an effort to help all students reach their full potential. Funds may cover the cost of students getting involved in enrichment activities or pursuing additional educational opportunities because the monetary cost is a barrier to their participation.
