Ken Jones Fund Supports Project Lead The Way

Alum Ken Jones has donated money to ramp up Project Lead the Way, a pre-engineering program which hopes to encourage all students to pursue science as a career. PLTW's curriculum includes hands-on and project-based engineering courses. The curriculum is founded in the fundamental problem-solving and critical-thinking skills taught in traditional career and technical education (CTE), while integrating national academic and technical learning standards and STEM principles. PLTW was recently cited by the Harvard Graduate School of Education as a "model for 21st-century career and technical education."

Programs like these enrich students’ learning and enhance the curriculum, making our public schools great resources for our community.
