Miss Myrtle Clark Outstanding Mathematics Educator Award

The Myrtle Clark award was established by a former student to honor Miss Myrtle Clark, a former mathematics teacher at Lincoln Northeast High School and Jackson High School. The award is given to recognize excellence in mathematics teaching and provide a source of funding for LPS mathematics educators for summer school courses to advance teaching skills or for the pursuit of an advanced degree in mathematics. The award amount shall be determined annually and currently provides a monetary award.

  • Citizen of the United States
  • Mathematics educator for Lincoln Public Schools
  • Commitment to excellence in mathematics teaching
  • Interest in pursuing summer school courses to advance teaching skills or an advanced degree in mathematics

Nominations may be submitted by any individual or group

Selection Committee

The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools’ Scholarships and Awards Committee, with input from the LPS Curriculum Specialist for Mathematics.
