Our K-12 teachers in Lincoln are working hard every day to deliver kiddos a quality education under extremely difficult circumstances. They are going above and beyond, putting in extra effort, and balancing the needs of students in the classroom with students learning remotely. I know this is tiring and that they carry a lot on their shoulders. We are so grateful to Holly Stange and the other Sheridan Elementary educators that teach Eva and her friends, as well as the educators across the city who are supporting our children.

Even though doing school online 2-3 days a week is rough, especially with all of the homework you give us, it pushes me to be better. Now during football and having this pandemic and going to school half the week, I thought APUSH was going to be the end for me. But with you providing the comic relief I enjoy learning about the presidents and the wars and the revolutions and everything else. I just wanted to say thank you for being such a great person and teacher.

Dear Mrs. Ehrlich, I don't even know where to begin saying thank you at. You've done so much for me and I wouldn't be able to think of a way to pay it back other than this message. You have THEE BIGGEST heart of any person on the planet that I have been blessed to meet. And let me tell you I am extremely blessed to have met you. I would really like to thank all my teachers because I know how hard you are all working to balance an in person class with a zoom class. A lot is different about this year and I'm disappointed about having to go into high school during a pandemic and not get the full experience, but I'm very thankful for what all the staff and teachers are doing to make it as normal as possible. Mrs. Moravec has been one of the teachers that has been helping me this entire school year so far, she tries her best and when things don't always go the best with Zoom or with assignments, she makes a joke or helps us students. Thank you for being the best teacher I have ever had, You were very kind, knew when to have fun and when to be serious, you were with the times but acted like an old man when the timing was right. You helped steer us in the right direction of kindness, You had some fun assignments you could roll with the punches from our crazy classes thank you so much for being such a great teacher. Though if I had to say my favorite moments with you were when I changed my hotspot on my phone to "Mr Russell Is a Poopy Head " and while we were working you spent the entire class period trying to figure out who did it and you didn't figure out who it was until Hayden Byarly told you. You were also amazing in facing cancer head-on and living you are one of the greatest people I have met and the best teacher I have had, a two time cancer survivor and a great teacher/friend. Thank you Mr Russell.

Coronavirus has changed our learning environments so much, but we still know that we can rely on our teachers to help us. Thank you guys for trying to make this school year feel as normal for us as possible. We are really grateful for all that you do and know that it's done with us in mind. Someday, we'll all be able to look back and think "I made it through that."

I would like to say thank you to all teachers and staff members who are working during this hard and stressful time. I understand that it is very hard to adjust to this new situation. It must be very hard to learn new technology and change the way you teach while also making sure that your students get the information that they need. Thank you for still working hard and give students the opportunity to learn, it is much appreciated and makes a big difference in many people's lives.

A teacher I would like to recognize is my Advanced Algebra Diff teacher, Julianne Spry. I come to her class everyday during eighth period and there is never a day she doesn't have a smile on her face. She always tells cheesy jokes about math and makes class fun for everyone. She is the type of person to change your mood in seconds. She always brings up the energy in the room because of how nice and happy she is. During this time I can't imagine how stressful It is to be in the math department, considering it is very hard to teach and answer questions over zoom while trying to show and help the students in class. She always helps me after school as well, whenever I need help figuring out what we are learning she is there and makes it super clear to me.

I am currently in 10th grade and I still haven't had another teacher that comes near of how good of a teacher you were. I remember in 3rd grade you had a fun nickname for everyone in the class. Thank you for all of the effort you have put into changing your entire teaching schedule to incorporate online students. Thanks for all of the things you've done in the past to create the wonderful people we see today. As a student, it's hard to see how the teacher feels because they make it seem like it's all under control, even though it is anything but that right now.

I guess what I'm saying is, thank you guys so much for working so hard to give us students a chance to learn.

Everyday I walk into school I see the teachers that help us everyday from morning to noon. I just want to say thank you as they always remind us to stay safe in school around other students. Trying their best to work out all the schools connections and services even though they've never done it. Staying up all night grading all our work. So I give my thanks to all the LSE teachers and administrators.

I just wanted to say thank you for encouraging me to get my work done. You had no reason to accept my insanely late essay, but you did. So seriously, thank you. 

This is a major undertaking by Teachers and Staff teaching "in person" and "zooming students" at the same time. It is like double timing it every day plus handling devices, equipment, and occasional glitches with the internet.

I wanted to thank you two for making my time at Southeast the best it could be and I hope you continue making students time at Southeast as great as possible.

We are so very thankful for you all! Your dedication to your students has been so evident in the risks you are taking in learning and trying new strategies to meet the needs of each of your learners. Your ability to adapt and pivot has been a tremendous thing to observe.
