Support the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools - Help Students Get 'Future Ready'

“My education at Lincoln Northeast High School was outstanding. My teachers not only imparted in me a desire to continue my education and seek learning, they encouraged me to follow my passion of writing and set goals for myself so I could achieve success.  It was also where I met my best friends, and we're still best friends for life.”

Lynne (Morian) Grasz, Class of 1961

Lincoln Northeast

Lincoln Northeast High School opened in 1941 with students from Bethany, Havelock and Jackson high schools.  The idea for Northeast came about through the vision of five civic clubs in the Bethany, Havelock and University Place neighborhoods.  There are over 20,000 Northeast High graduates still carrying on the LNE tradition and former Rockets now live in all 50 states.

The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools was established in 1989 to support the Lincoln Public Schools.  In those 20 years funds have been raised for programs at Northeast that go beyond what tax dollars support, programs that enrich students’ learning and enhance the curriculum.  The Reeder-Mueller Scholarship for Northeast seniors was one of the first scholarships established at the Foundation for LPS.  Since then, 20 Rockets have received college scholarships from donations in honor of former LNE teachers Miss Elizabeth Reeder and Mr. A.J. (Jack) Mueller.
