Outdoor Learning Environment - Music Area

A Music and Movement Area in an Outdoor Space that encourages students to experiment with making music and creating expressive movement.Music and movement are keys to student's social, physical and mental development. Outdoor areas give students a place where they can experience music in an unstructured manner, allowing for improvisation and creativity. This creativity will help students be better thinkers and problem solvers in their classrooms and other areas of their lives. Pairing the music and movement areas will allow students to express musical concepts by moving their bodies to music and by playing instruments. Nature will inspire creative movements with the rich patterns found in trees, plants, water and weather. This area will not only help students become more creative, but will also inspire a lifetime appreciation of nature, music and learning.

PLEASE NOTE: From time to time, a certain percentage of grant proposals that appear on the Fund-A-Need Web site do not come to fruition for any number of reasons. Consequently, by completing the Confirmation Process herein, Donor acknowledges and agrees that should the grant proposal chosen by Donor herein fail to launch for any reason, that the Awards & Grants Committee of the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools shall in its sole judgment and discretion transfer any funds previously directed by Donor to another grant project deemed by said Committee to reflect (as close as possible) the spirit and purpose of the grant project previously selected by Donor herein. Donor hereby further waives any right to notice of said Committee's decision to so transfer funds.
