Reading with a purpose

I am a first year teacher with LPS. I teach reading elements classes to struggling 7th and 8th grade readers. I would like to have some books in my classroom that my children can read and work with on their comprehension skills. By placing the right books in my room I hope to ignite a spark with my students and get them excited about reading and feel good about themselves in the process.
