Kindergarteners study animals and habitats and this field trip fit perfectly with our curriculum goals and objectives.
Funding of this project allowed students to go to the Children's Zoo and observe animals and wild life.
This trip allowed students to learn and see all that the Zoo had to offer.

English Learners Connect to Local/Global Community - Holmes Elementary School

Most ELL students are refugees and immigrants new to the community and want to connect by setting up a blog and
podcast to share about themselves, what they are learning and to use their newly acquired language in a
meaningful way. The Holmes School ELL Blog is an interactive technology that welcomes conversation between
the local and global community who can become insiders by subscribing to the blog. Funding of this allowed Holmes to
purchase a computer laptop to run programs in order to record, edit and publish students' work.

Prescott Garden Project - Prescott Elementary School

Prescott School has reopened this school year following a year of renovation. Students are excited to work on
a garden and landscaping project that will enhance the school grounds. Students worked with school administrators to design, purchase, plant, and maintain landscaped garden areas. This project will be a part of service learning in the after-school program.
